Marilyn Vogel

With 12 years experience in Human Resources Management I am familiar with, and have written, internal policies and procedures, employee handbooks and job descriptions.  Furthermore, after 15 award-winning years in corporate sales, I fully understand what is critical to effective marketing collateral, having developed and presented sales communications utilizing various media. The skills developed over the span of these two careers, coupled with the completion of a copyediting diploma from the University of Southern California, uniquely positions me to work with businesses looking for an enlightened and knowledgeable editing partner. In addition, I am comfortable working in both Canadian and American dialects.

Upon retiring from corporate sales, the time felt right to seek a more productive lifestyle, a greater balance of both career and personal growth. Bracebridge, Ontario is the centre of the Muskoka region, and is the perfect place to achieve this goal. Having cottaged here for over 15 years, I feel connected to the community. Residing here now allows me to interact more personally with local businesses and organizations, while continuing to work clients from major urban centres.

I have written and/or edited in various disciplines including tourism publications, communiqués for not-for-profit organizations, public service, private training companies, international public speaking institutions and large corporations.
